I am going to install an extraction duct (kitchen duct) and wonder if your plastic duct system is approved for that? | No, our plastic duct system is not approved for use as an extraction duct. It must be a metal duct system. Additionally, you must insulate with 30mm stone wool. Between the insulated metal duct and the cooker hood/extractor fan, approved kitchen fan ducting can be used. |
How do I notice that my ventilation needs improvement? | Signs of poor ventilation include, for example, condensation on windows, a feeling of stuffiness, stale air, and high humidity |
Should there be negative pressure or positive pressure in my house? | Normally, you always want to maintain a certain level of negative pressure, otherwise there's a risk that warm, humid air will be forced into the walls and ceilings of the house. Negative pressure is most easily created by installing fans, such as bathroom fans or a duct fan. |
