I am going to install an extraction duct (kitchen duct) and wonder if your plastic duct system is approved for that? No, our plastic duct system is not approved for use as an extraction duct. It must be a metal duct system. Additionally, you must insulate with 30mm stone wool. Between the insulated metal duct and the cooker hood/extractor fan, approved kitchen fan ducting can be used.
How do I notice that my ventilation needs improvement? Signs of poor ventilation include, for example, condensation on windows, a feeling of stuffiness, stale air, and high humidity
Should there be negative pressure or positive pressure in my house? Normally, you always want to maintain a certain level of negative pressure, otherwise there's a risk that warm, humid air will be forced into the walls and ceilings of the house. Negative pressure is most easily created by installing fans, such as bathroom fans or a duct fan.
