Our History

In 1969, Gemla Plastindustri AB was founded in the small village of Gemla outside Växjö. The company manufactured small plastic details such as skate guards, helmet chin guards, and details for toy stoves. In 1975, the first ventilation product was developed, and Gemla Plastindustri later changed its name to Fresh.

Fresh continued its operations in Gemla and in 1980, relocated its operations to the old paper mill, Gransholms Bruk. Gransholms Bruk rests on historic grounds with industrial roots dating back to the 16th century, where paper had been manufactured for about 200 years.

Here, Fresh continued to develop groundbreaking products and grew into a world-leading supplier in ventilation.

In 2021, Fresh left Gransholms Bruk to move to larger and better-adapted premises in central Växjö, where we are active today, continuing our mission: to develop and manufacture products that provide you with a good indoor environment.
